FAQ
-
What is your refund policy?
-
Answer: As professional running coaches working within our scope of practice is essential. This means that in the event of a suspected injury we will urge you to seek guidance from a medical professional to determine the appropriate next steps and when you can safely return to running. Please note that if you withdraw from the program past the halfway point a refund cannot be provided. If an injury disrupts your training before the halfway point of the program you will be offered free signup for a future group program with a note from a medical professional.

Do I need to be an experienced runner to join?
-
Answer:
No! Our coaching is designed for runners of all levels, whether you’re aiming for your first marathon or half marathon or trying to achieve a new personal best. We’ve mastered making our training inclusive, structured, and adaptable for all abilities. However, to ensure you are set up for success and can handle the training, we do have minimum distance prerequisites:
These baselines help prevent injury and burnout, ensuring you build fitness progressively and safely. If you’re not quite at these levels yet, we recommend starting with a base-building phase before jumping into structured training. Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure whether you meet the requirements, and we’ll guide you on the best next steps!

What technology do I need to participate?
-
Answer: You can access TrainingPeaks using either a phone (via the TrainingPeaks app) or a computer (via the website). Both options allow you to view your training schedule, log workouts, and communicate with your coach.
While it’s possible to manually enter workouts, having a GPS watch (such as Garmin, Coros, or Suunto) is highly recommended. A GPS watch automatically syncs your runs to TrainingPeaks, providing detailed data on pace, distance, heart rate, and effort levels. This helps your coach analyze your progress more accurately and make better adjustments to your training.

How is this program different from 1:1 Coaching or a Personalized Race Plan?
-
Answer: This group program gives you a structured, coach-designed 14-week training plan based on the information you share in your onboarding questionnaire- including your preferred training days, long-run schedule, and life commitments. It’s built to provide expert guidance and a supportive community experience at an accessible price.
Because this is a group-based model, the plan is created at the start of the program and won’t be adjusted individually along the way. If you’re looking for ongoing customization, regular feedback, or plan changes as life happens, our Personalized Race Plans or 1:1 Coaching offerings would be the better fit. Those options allow us to tailor every part of your training to your needs and goals throughout the season.
All choices offer the same level of coaching expertise- it simply depends on the level of personalization and flexibility you prefer.
