Monthly Strength Plan
Add-on service for SRC runners
SRC athletes have the option to add on an expertly designed strength program created to support & balance the unique strength training needs of runners. Here's what you can expect from the Monthy Strength Plan Add On:
• Utilization of a concurrent periodization model emphasizing progressively developing the two qualities runners need the most: durability & power.
• Strength programs are delivered through the BridgeTracker app, an engaging and easy-to-use platform you can download onto your phone or tablet.
•Each strength phase spans 4-weeks and includes tapering considerations for goal races as well as transition phases for after your racing season.
• Each movement is supported with video, cues, and guidance on the intensity of the lift.
• These programs are 30-45min. in duration 2x's per week and can be done at home or the gym. Required equipment includes dumbbells and/or kettlebells, resistance bands, and a light (8-10lbs) medball.
Athletes utilizing this remote program (or any remote strength program) need to have a requisite proficiency with strength training to be able to execute on the movements safely without an in-person coach.
