Group Coaching

We’re thrilled to kick off our 5th year of Group Coaching, designed to prepare you for the 2025 Servus Calgary Marathon Race Weekend on Sunday, May 25th.

 

Whether you’re aiming for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K, our group coaching experience offers a supportive and motivating environment for everyone.

​Each spring we look forward to this premier running event.  The Calgary Marathon is not only one of YYC’s most beloved road running events, but it’s also Alberta’s Best Road Race. We want you to join us this spring to take on this epic race!

Why group coaching?

Group coaching is a great option for those that want to train for a specific race without the long term + financial commitment of 1:1 coaching.   Take part in a highly supported, superlative coaching experience while enjoying the perks of being part of an established group. 

 

What’s included?

Group coaching participants will receive:

• 14-weeks of customized coaching delivered via the TrainingPeaks platform

• lululemon Skyline Run Coaching branded singlet to rock on your training runs and race day

• Individual onboarding call with your coach

• Pre-race support including a race-day plan, individual pre-race call with your coach, and a fuelling guide to help you nail your race-day nutrition

• Pre-race team shake-out run in YYC. 

• A Slack community where you can connect with other SRC athletes 

• If you choose to continue on with 1-on-1 coaching after the race weekend we will waive the 100.00 onboarding fee

Cost: 

5k + 10k Group: 420.00 + GST

Half Marathon + Marathon: 450.00 + GST

Key Dates:

Registration Deadline: Monday, February 3rd, 2025

Start: Monday, February 17th, 2025

Shake-out run: Saturday, May 24th, 2025

Race day: Sunday, May 25th, 2025

Next Steps: Once you sign up via the Get Started Form, we will send you a detailed athlete questionnaire to complete and provide links to set up your payment for group coaching.

• No minimum prerequisite distance.   This is a beginner friendly program that can benefit an established runner or someone starting from scratch.

• Able to commit to three days a week of running

10K

• Minimum 10km weekly base mileage

• Long run distance: 6km​

• Able to commit to three days a week of running

HALF MARATHON

• Minimum 20km weekly base mileage
• Long run distance: 12km
• Able to commit to three days a week of running

MARATHON

• Minimum 30km weekly base mileage
• Long run distance: 20km
• Able to commit to four days a week of running
